After the amazing buzz of Sunday’s Stubbington 10k, what next? Worry not – Neil is here with a selection of races for you to aim for! Thanks Neil! #Unstoppable
Hi all
Another massive ‘Well Done!!’ to everyone who ran the Stubbington 10k. Always an amazing turnout with great local support with so many positive stories, beaming smiles & PBs. Also, thanks to our fantastic support crew who spurred us on as ever.
I’m sure you’ll all agree that Stubbington was a great day and uplifting experience. However, it is only race 6 of 12 in the Hampshire Road Race League (Hrrl) – which means we’re only 1/2 way through the season and there are another 6 Hrrl races coming up soon for you to enter!! It would be brilliant to see as many Crusaders as possible representing the club at these.
The club theme for the year is ‘Try something new’ so if you haven’t done these before, get involved in the race day atmosphere & fun. We’d love to see some new faces at races. If you’ve done them before, you know the drill.
If you’re a little nervous, we will look after you, there will be lift shares available and just ask if you have any questions about the races, preparation or anything else. The bigger the risk, the bigger the reward!
Have a look at the details below and get yourself signed up. What are you waiting for ??!!
07/02/2016: Ryde 10
A lovely, undulating 10 miler and a nice Crusaders day trip to the island to put all that hill work into practice. Keep an eye out for posts relating to ferry / hovercraft prices & plans for the day.

13/03/2016: Salisbury 10
A very scenic 10 miler which finishes on a track so you can show off your best sprint finish. Some excellent PB potential with this one.

20/03/2016: Eastleigh 10k
This is one for you to go one better than your Stubby time. A quick course with only 1 biggish hill (what goes up must come down!) and a perfect race to aim for, following a few more weeks training.

08/05/2016: Alton 10
I really like this course. A tricky 10 miler with a few ups & downs but a great challenge to test your strength. You always get a good cheer on the final straight here which is very satisfying and helps encourage the last push to overtake a couple more runners

15/05/2016: Netley 10k
A lovely course around the grounds of Royal Victoria Country Park. It’s 3 laps so perfect for supporters to come along and cheer you on as they’ll see you a few times.

05/06/2016: D-Day 10k
Let’s make this a massive end of season party. Huge turnout last year so hopefully we can extend that this year. Not the most scenic course around the Lakeside complex but local and fast so good PB potential – if it’s not 25 degrees! A Team Crusaders party is being planned for the afternoon after the race – watch this space!
