When are our New Starters Nights?
The first Tuesday of every month. Join us from 18:50 at Everyone Active Fareham Leisure Centre for a 19:00 start. The sessions finish at 20:15 but don’t worry if you’re just starting on your journey to fitness – you won’t be running for the whole 75 minutes and you won’t ever be left behind!
What happens at the beginning of the session?
A few minutes before 19:00, one of our Greeters will put out a call for new runners to join them for a quick briefing. They’ll explain how the session works and what to expect – plus, they’ll be able to answer any questions that you might have.
As well as our regular Tuesday groups (which are based on your pace to ensure that you can run with similar-speed people), we also run a group especially for people joining us for the first time. If you’re completely new to running or don’t know your pace, this will be the group for you to run with. However, if you’re already running regularly and know your pace, please feel free to join any of our other groups and you’ll be given the same warm welcome.
At 19:00, the session will start with our weekly announcements and an introduction to our group leaders for the night. All of our leaders are fully qualified and they’ll be visible during the announcements so that you know who’s who. Once we break off into our groups, they’ll explain the session and what will happen over course of the 75 minutes. Please introduce yourself to your group’s leader before we set off, and they’ll make sure you are well looked after.
